Yep,
I read it.
However I made a visual comparison between RGB, YUV422 and YUV420  
(interlaced stream).
In the latter, vertical artifacts occur on saturated colour borders,  
but overall damage it's quite limited.

You can find the last commit with code cleansed: work seems to be  
broadly finished! We wish that all discrepancies are gone.
Some work would be still necessary if we want to treat interlacing  
streams, with postprocessing filters and so on, however, let's see in  
time, if it's needed.

We're going to test libavg within this week on our tracking testbed.
