[libavg-devel] libdc1394 v.1

Hi,

just a note that I'd like to remove support for the old libdc1394 ver.  
1 from svn trunk next weekend. That cleans up an incredible mess of  
#ifdefs in the linux/mac firewire support files. Version 2.x of that  
library has been stable for quite a while now and should be in all  
distributions - Ubuntu has it since 8.10.

Of course, it does mean that any older svn installations that need the  
camera (that includes the c-base MTC ;-)) will have to do something  
before an svn up will work: Either somehow install the new libdc1394  
(as backport or from source), or upgrade to a new OS version. If any  
major issues crop up when doing that - you have a week to convince me  
to keep the support ;-).
