Hi,
what we've done here to work around the bug now is to do an
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.2/libstdc++.so.6
before starting libavg applications. Of course, you need to substitute
the correct location for libstdc++.
I'll try to contact some ubuntu and/or gl people about this and see what
they can do about really fixing things on this front.
